The Ninja Foodi Mini 6-in-1 multi-cooker is an excellent appliance for preparing various meals using six cooking modes.

Perhaps, the most notable feature is the slow cooking mode which allows you to enjoy a wide range of one-pot recipes, desserts, and sides. 

It is essentially a pressure cooker and air fryer combo and will transform your precious chunks of meat into stunning results. Enjoy an excellent device for cooking everything from frozen food to golden chicken nuggets, fluffy baby potatoes, and spectacular cheese-topped burgers. You can also cook spicy chili, sauté onions, steam rice diseases, and even sear steaks up to 8 hours long. You’ll especially love the Keep warm mode that ensures your meal remains ready to eat for about 12 hours after cooking.

The Ninja Foodi Mini-6-in-1 multi-cooker is an excellent cooker, perfectly sized for a small/medium-sized household. It features Ninja’s proprietary TenderCrisp technology, which ensures your food will be cooked rapidly. 

The Air fryer (Air Crisp) mode ensures you can enjoy golden and crispy potatoes, Mediterranean veggies, and lots more without worrying about using too many fats/oils. The TenderCrisp technology is primarily responsible for that crisp golden-brown appearance that we all love.

Swap the crisping lid for the pressure cooking lid, and you can enjoy up to 70 percent faster speed than traditional equipment. This lid is especially meant for the slow cook and pressure cooking needs. Therefore, you can use the slow cook mode to create delightful risotto, and pulled pork. Another advantage to the Ninja air fryer, is that you can automatically switch to crisp up your food after you’ve slow cooked it.  However, it’s worthy to note that when you open the pressure cooking mode after a period of cooking, it fires out hot steam. This shouldn’t be a problem as long as you are aware of it.

You will also love the searing/sautéing mode which is excellent for making curries, or beef chunks for stew. Using your traditional equipment, you might have to sauté the onions or beef chunks before transferring them into your slow cooker. With the Ninja Foodi, you only have to tap a few buttons to make the switch from Slow Cook to Saute/Sear. 

The Steam mode is excellent for steaming rice, cauliflower rice, and vegetables. The steam mode doesn’t need the pressure cooking lid. All you need is the airfrying lid to do the work.

The Roast mode is ideal for cooking tender steak, poached eggs and casseroles. It is worthy to note that you can cook a 1.6kg chicken in just 40 minutes to a crispy golden delicacy.

The Bake mode actually doubles with the Roast function and is a welcome addition for baking roasted potatoes, pastries and other small batches of desserts with fluffy centers and crunchy exteriors. The plus to using the Ninja Foodi is that you can actually mix some dough such as when making your cake using the multi-cooker’s non-stick pot before baking. This helps you reduce your clean-up, so you don’t need to have baking paper, mixing bowls and lining tins with grease scattered around you.

Finally the reheat mode ensures you don’t have to waste leftovers. You can still restore your food to its original crispy and delicious flavor. It also comes with a Keep warm function, which ensures you can have your meals hot and ready anytime within the next 12 hours after cooking.

However, you should be careful about handling your device when it’s time to remove the food from the pot as it gets too hot. Again, the recipe guide and pre-set modes are not entirely accurate. This Ninja air fryer is powerful, so your food might be ready (and may require lower temperature) than what you have on the timer or recipe guide. 

Sturdy and dependable design

What I admire most about this Ninja Foodi is its spectacular design. The dark matte finish and small footprint makes an attractive addition to any kitchen counter. You’ll love that it fits perfectly on your kitchen worktop and can be easily tucked away in a cupboard after use.

It also comes with two lids; one for pressure cooking and another for air frying/roasting lid. The air frying/roasting lid is hinged permanently to the air fryer, but you can remove the pressure cooking lid completely. The pressure-cooking lid also has arrows to guide you on how to set it. Your instructional manual will also have a dedicated section on using the pressure-cooking lid as well. The downside is that we would have loved having the two lids completely removable. However, I believe the reason for this is to ensure you don’t use the wrong lid for the wrong cooking function.

Fast cooking times

You’ll love that your newfound air fryer can look at meals up to 50 percent faster than traditional ovens. The Ninja Foodi Mini enables you to cook homemade delicious dinner meals for your family even on days where you have limited time or are exhausted from daily activities.

Wide temperature and time

The digital panel makes it easy to adjust timer and temperature settings to achieve precise results. The easily adjustable timer and the temperature setting can cook at high anywhere between 4 hours and 12 hours and low anywhere between 6-12 hours. You can also find pre-set programmes for each mode, but use this with extra caution. I have found that the pre-set temperature and timer can be a little off. So, you should turn off the air-fryer from time to time, to check your food.

Dishwasher safe

Due to the glossy exterior, you can easily wash and clean the appliance without taking much time. You can simply wife off the smudges and smears around the external parts using a damp cloth. You can easily remove the internal components such as the cooking pan, crisping plate, and rack and pop into the dishwasher for a squeaky clean.
